<li><strong>You can be self employed:</strong> This is a choice  that is increasingly being denied to other health care providers such as optometrists and even  GPs . Big Business controls a lot of health practices. Consider how often you see an independent optometrist these days – can they compete on price with the multinational chains?</li>
<li><strong>Legal Issues:</strong> In Australia (unlike the USA where things are very different), podiatrists very, very rarely face litigation . The nature of podiatry practice does not lend itself to accidentally harming one’s patients. Also, you never have to give your  customers the bad news that their condition will be terminal.</li>

<p>There is only one way to prevent this from happening and that is to set up a style guide. Not only will a style guide help you conduct the reproduction of your logo - it will also help you strengthen your brand recognition – which many argue is one of the strongest selling tools.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The typical question heard when acquiring a new projector for the home, office, or classroom is: will I purchase an LCD projector or a DLP projector? LCD, which stands for ‘liquid crystal device’ and DLP, standing for ‘digital light processing’ are the two top projector imaging technologies. With so many business brands and models available, it can be overwhelming for consumers to make a decision between both technologies. Ultimately LCD projectors offer far superior image quality and colour accuracy. The article below will explain why DLP projectors struggle with reproducing the same rate of image quality.</p>
<p>Visualise a set of blinds in your home for your bedroom window. With the twist of a rod you can have the shutters open or closed, depending on whether you want to let light in or not. And such is exactly how an LCD projector works. Each pixel operates like an individual shutter on a set of blinds to either shine light through or to block it. DLP on the other hand is created of millions of microscopic mirrors or ‘pixel elements’ as pros like to call them. Each pixel element works to either reflect light or block it.</p>
<p>How the light source is processed from the time the projector turns on to when the picture reaches your screen is vitally significant for image quality, brightness and colour accuracy. LCD projectors shine white light from the lamp by splitting it into red, blue and green components, by three mirrors which send the coloured light to 3 stand alone LCD panels. The 3 LCD panels cast the elements of the image by processing each pixel on and off. The pixels are then combined in a glass prism to send the projector image. Something important to know about LCD projectors is that all three colours are projected onto your wall all at once. The way a DLP projector works is totally different and even the produced image comes out is not the same. With DLP, white light from the lamp is projected through a spinning colour wheel with transparent red, blue and green segments, at speeds up to 11,000 rpm/s. This approach to making an image casts a sequence of red, blue and green light. The millions of micro mirrors mentioned above reflect the coloured light on the pixels to form the image elements. The elements of the image are projected in sequence on the screen, one colour at a time. The viewer&#8217;s vision will then pull together each coloured element of the image into the complete image. Using LCD projectors, all colours are available all the time to deliver the top level of brightness and superb colour accuracy. In DLP, just one colour is available at any given time, and so resulting in lower colour brightness and accuracy. Some designers have put a white segment for the colour wheel to improve overall brightness, but this further lessens colour accuracy.</p>
<p>I find in forums all the time that DLP has a higher contrast ratio and as such must be better quality. For those uncertain, the contrast ratio is a measure of a display system defined as the ratio of the luminance of the brightest white to that of the darkest black that the projector is capable of. DLP projectors do possess high contrast specifications when compared to most LCD projectors. Initially, this seems to be a plus, however, in truth, the true black level is determined by the ambient light in the room when the projector is being utilised. Do not be duped by contrast specifications on websites and in brochures.</p>
<p>When the content you want to view has moving images, DLP projection technology can also have image marks, or ‘artifacts’. The most often seen artifact that a DLP projector creates with moving images is colour break up. Colour break up is unavoidable in DLP systems because moving images change between the time red, blue and green colours are projected. LCD projectors do not have this characteristic because the colours are projected at the same time. DLP designers have come up with 3DLP solutions using 3 chips to resolve the colour break up problem, but the cost of these projectors make them hardly practical for many businesses and consumers.</p>
<p>Another differentiation between LCD and DLP is how they balance for the refractive qualities of light. Remember back to high school science, and they taught you how various colours of light refract different amounts when directed through the same lens. The disadvantage with DLP projectors is that they have the one same panel with the same lens to project Red, Blue and Green. All 3 colours are obviously different and refract light in different ways. Generally with a DLP projector, some extra yellow colour will be projected above and a spill of blue will show below an image as simple as a lone black line. During manufacturing LCD projectors can be fixed to minimize these effects on the projected image, as each colour is directed on a separate LCD panels.</p>
<p>The one real benefit (excluding price) with deciding on a DLP projector is its smaller size and weight. However, this is only relevant for transporting the device and has to be traded off against the image advantages of LCD projectors. If the result of the picture quality is vital to you, then the decision is no-brainer. Take an LCD projector! LCD projectors will definitely make bright, colourful images with fewer image mistakes. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As the Dutch rose to preeminence in sea power during the 17th century, the early yacht was a leisure craft used initially by royalty and later by the burghers in the canals and then in the protected and unprotected waters of the Low Countries. Racing was incidental, borne from private matches. English yachting originated with King Charles II of England during his exile in the Low Countries. On his restoration to the English throne in 1660, the city of Amsterdam sent him a 20-metre (66-foot) pleasure boat with a beam (maximum width) of 5.6 m (18 feet), which he called Mary. Charles and his brother James, the duke of York (James II, sovereign 1685–88), built other yachts and in 1662 raced two of them from the Thames, from Greenwich, to Gravesend, and back, on a Â£100 bet. Yachting rose as fashionable among the wealthy and nobility, but after that point the habit did not last.</p>
<p>The first yacht group in the British Isles, the Water Club, was formed at about 1720 at Cork, Ire., as a cruising and unofficial coast guard association, and held much naval panoply and gravity. The closest thing to racing boats was the “chase,” in which the “fleet” pursued a fictional enemy. The club persisted, for the large part as a social club, until 1765, and in 1828, by joining with other groups, it became known as the Cork Yacht Club (later the Royal Cork Yacht Club).</p>
<p>Yacht racing was first seen in some organized fashion on the Thames in the mid-18th century. The duke of Cumberland instigated the Cumberland Fleet for Thames racing in 1775. When George IV ascended to the throne in 1820, it was then known as the Fleet to His Majesty&#8217;s Coronation Sailing Society. The Thames Yacht Club seceded following a racing argument, to become the Royal Thames Yacht Club in 1830. The first English yacht organisation had been initiated at Cowes on the Isle of Wight in 1815, and royal funding made the Solent - the strait between the mainland and the Isle of Wight - the perpetual setting of British racing. The society at Cowes became the Royal Yachting Club, likewise at the rise of George IV. Every member was required to possess boats of at least 20 tons (20,321 kg). Sailing matches for great bids were held, and the social life was lovely. Ultimately Royal Yachting Club boats grew in size to over 350 tons.</p>
<p>In North America, yachting was first accomplished with the Dutch in New York in the 17th century and persisted when the English gained power. Sailing was mostly for leisure and rose to its apogee in George Crowinshield&#8217;s Cleopatra&#8217;s Barge (1815), which sailed on the Mediterranean Sea and established a benchmark of luxury and elegance for the later yachts in that area from the late 19th century. The first persisting American yacht association, the Detroit Boat Club, was instigated in 1839. In 1844, John C. Stevens began the New York Yacht Club while on board his schooner Gimcrack.</p>
<p><strong>Kinds of sailboats<br /></strong>Early sailing yachts took the style of such naval craft as brigantines, schooners, and cutters from the 17th century through the second half of the 19th century. The style of bigger yachts was first heavily put upon by the victory of America, which was drawn by George Steers for a club headed by John C. Stevens, and it was the boat for which the America&#8217;s Cup (q.v.) was named after its victory at Cowes in 1851. Early yachts were not designed and manufactured in a contemporary sense, with merely a model for an outline. Not until the later half of the 19th century did what was called naval architecture come into action. Not until the 1920s did the employment of the study of aerodynamics do for the craft of sails and rigging what such study had previously done for hulls.</p>
<p>Because almost all sailboats had been individually built, there came a desire for handicapping boats previous to the one-design class boats were made. Therefore, a rating rule was written, which is found in the International Rule, accepted in 1906 and edited in 1919. Today, one of the rapidly blossoming areas in the sailing industry is that of one-design class boats. All boats in a one-design class are built to single requirements in length, beam, sail area, and other aspects (for an example of a two-person sailboat, see illustration). Racing between such boats can be done on an even keel with no handicapping at all. A great example is the uniform International America&#8217;s Cup Class taken on board for yachts in the 1992 America&#8217;s Cup race.</p>
<p>For the time that yachting was an activity largely for the royal and the affluent, money was no problem, and the size of boats grew, in both length and weight. The ascendancy and popularity of smaller boats occurred in the second half of the 19th century in the sailing of the Englishmen R.T. McMullen, a stockbroker, and E.F. Knight, a barrister and journalist. A trip around the world (1895–98) captained single-handedly by the naturalized American captain Joshua Slocum in the 11.3-metre Spray made plain the hardiness of small yachts. Following this in the 20th century, notably after World War II, smaller racing and recreational craft became more popular, down to the dinghy, a favourite training boat, of 3.7 m. In the late 20th century, yachts of less than 3 m were sailed single-handedly across the Atlantic Ocean.</p>
<p><strong>Kinds of power yachts<br /></strong>After the decade 1840–50, in which steam began to replace sail power in market boats, the steam engine, and later the internal-combustion engine, were employed increasingly in personal vessels. Large power yachts were progressed to a high degree, and long-distance cruising was a favourite activity of the wealthy. The early power yachts were paddle-wheel boats; they then made way to those powered by the fully submerged screw or propeller sort of propulsion. Like naval and merchant vessels, auxiliaries possessing both sail and power were the yacht archetype for a number of years. By the second half of the 20th century, a lot of yachts were still auxiliaries, but the majority were only power yachts containing gasoline or diesel engines.</p>
<p>During the last decade of the 19th century there was a rise in the design of large steam yachts. The Mayflower, purchased by the United States Navy in 1898, was the official yacht of the president of the United States until 1929 and saw active service in World War II.</p>
<p>As bigger and more dependable internal-combustion engines were created, many big yachts started using them for power. The creation of the diesel engine, with heavy oil for fuel, was furthered during World War I. In the decade after, big power-yacht manufacture flourished, climaxing in the Orion (1930) at 3,097 tons. In that time the biggest auxiliary yacht manufactured was the four-masted, steel, barque-rigged Sea Cloud (1931) of 2,323 tons.</p>
<p>The construction of large power boats lessened after 1932, and the trend after that was in preference of smaller, less pricey craft. From World War II, many small naval craft were sold to private owners for conversion to yachts. In the late 20th century, yachting has become a globally popular sport enjoyed by thousands of yachtsmen personally manning and upkeeping their own small pleasure yachts.
